The time had come to finally sail across the Sea of Cortez from Cabo San Lucas to Chacala on Mainland Mexico - soaking up all the naked sailing and experiencing one of the scariest nights at sea yet. The unpredictable weather made our crossing a challenging ordeal, but with determination and some rough seas, we persevered. It's a new chapter for the crew of SV Avocet, so stay tuned ⛵️

When we were in Mazatlán, one of our new friends ( @svliquid ) brought a hula hoop - but not just ANY hula hoop… it was collapsible 🤩 As a girl that spent many days playing with circles (thanks to @granolafemur) I knew I had to have this boat friendly hoop for adventures. So I ordered one, and thankfully, our pal @guapogaropa’s sister was visiting and could bring it down to me ⭕️ With all of that said, if you need me, I’ll be here tossing this hoop around.

Lusty rolls DEEP! 😝 After Max’s Sayulita birt

Lusty rolls DEEP! 😝 After Max’s Sayulita birthday extravaganza, we returned home to La Cruz to partake in the 9 day town party which kicked off with a parade 🎊

Last year we were spectators, but this year we got to be IN the parade, representing Lusty on Land in their gold carts (for rent) while spreading cheer through candy and Karen’s Painkiller shots 🍹 Oh, and did we mention it was the same day Mama Neely flew in? 😅

I’ve been saying that the song “What Happened” by @sublime is a good theme song for this season in La Cruz since we can usually be found with this rag tag team of salty people sharing a bottle of Centenario tequila and dancing the night away at @lusty_on_land, just to wake up in the morning feeling like it was all a beautiful, fun dream and do it all over again 💃🏻

This is a special place for us. It’s where we really found “our people” and continue to feel supported in our mission to be the best versions of ourselves. At the nucleus of that, is Max and Karen who’s bar is a safe haven for every walk of life, which is why when Max’s birthday rolled around we were all STOKED to load up in the van and head to Sayulita to celebrate our dearest friend. Tequila, beach, some friendship ink, Thai food and dancing until 4:00 am… what an epic memory 🥳🎉
